Cool Mom Summer

Hi mamas! It’s been a while! If you’re in Southern California you know we’ve had a slower start to summer than usual; spring was heavy with rain showers and the temps were much cooler than we’re used to. Not to be dramatic but the grey days were really starting to take a toll on my mental health, hence the big gap in posting on here. With all that said, the sunshine has finally arrived, and according to the forecast, it’s here to stay. Inspiration has arrived!

Time to celebrate, and by celebrate I mean time to pull out my warm weather wears and pack up my sweatpants and sweaters. The seasonal closet swap and clean out is a therapeutic act for me. I love to sift through pieces I have collected and ditch anything that no longer sparks joy. I also love to see if there are any holes in my wardrobe or things I might need to replace or refresh.

Sharing some new additions to my summer wardrobe below! I deeply consider getting dressed in the morning an act of self care. I notice a big difference in my mood when I take a little time in the morning to put an outfit together. Last summer I was in the thick of becoming mama and didn’t really lean into this ritual, but I’m back! It truly gets my creative juices flowing. The same goes for outfitting Goldie. I’ll have to put together her little summer round up next..

I am all about an easy summer dress, black always looks put together especially aprés sun and sand! Also loving a slip skirt! I’m going to be pairing mine with a white tank (this J.Crew one is the best; built in shelf bra for the win) and these Adidas Sambas. I clearly have a thing for green at the moment. These Vince sunnies were meant to be, I lost my ONE pair last summer and came across these beauties while hunting down the sandals above.
